Last March, while my friends and I were getting drunk at Ortigas to celebrate my birthday, I received a call from Gracey (not her real name). Gracey is my ex-boyfriend's best friend. When my ex and I were still together, Gracey also became a friend. We hung out often but I wouldn't say that we were very close. I've been single for more than a year now, so I was surprised to get a call from her on my birthday.
